The Arab Investment & Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman) participated in the World Governments Summit 2025 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), from February 11-13, 2025, under the them: “Shaping Future Governments”, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

During the summit, the Corporation’s Director-General met with officials of several regional, governmental and private agencies operating in trade, investment and financing, and discussed with them ways of cooperation

The Director-General underlined the significant role of the World Governments Summit, which could over 12 years bring together all leaders of governments, the private sector and civil society from around 150 countries to look into the most prominent political, economic, social and institutional challenges and exchange of successful experience and expertise in how to address them at both national and international levels.

He elaborated that the summit has already provided recommendations and solutions to crucial issues such as the promotion of economic and administrative reforms, partnerships between the public and private sectors, digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainable development. More importantly, it has contributed to developing new or improved governmental policies based on technology and innovation to modernize the administrative and service systems of a large number of governments.

He believed that the most important element of the summit is the fact that both organizers and participants in the summit are aware of the significance of pursuing practical mechanisms to apply the recommendations in a way that suits each country by means of recommending applicable practical policies, providing periodical reports about progress made in implementation, and spreading awareness in a bid to encourage people, youth and new leaders to support and join reforms and address challenges facing the practical application of new policies

He expected that the positive impact of the summit and its activities would continue during the coming period thanks to continuously coping with the significant issues and regional and international developments, and tackling them in a professional and objective manner, with all regional and international actors participating.
